Building up…

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

The backlog continues to grow and the new pages are looking spectacular! It’s tempting to post them all now but we wouldn’t want to pressure our team of illustrators:  Jason.  So, we’ll stick with the one-page-a-week format for the foreseeable future.

Be sure and check out the site links up left there.  They’re low cal and very tasty.

New to the site?

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Welcome! To avoid any confusion, and to those who are also new to the world of online graphic novels, Attack Mimes is a work in progress. So, if things don’t seem to make sense to you, that’s understandable — you’re only seeing part of the story. We add one new page to the story every Friday. One day we hope to be able to post more during the week but, for now, this is all time allows.

To make things easier to navigate, we’ve added page buttons on the left under the “Now Showing” info. Click them to go back in time!…to previous pages. If you don’t know what page you’re on, there are page numbers on the bottoms of the pages themselves. You can also tag your page so that when you come back to the site you’ll pick up where you left off. That handy button is at bottom-right under the page.

If all this info seems obvious or redundant to you, I apologize, but some people have been confused so I wanted to help them out. I’m helpful, you see. If you have any further questions, feel free to drop us a line or leave us a comment.

Until next time — Attack!

“Sans”

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Just looked up the etymology for the word ”sans.” Turns out the foreign languages it derived from are Old French and Middle English (Middle English being, I believe, the language the Hobbits spoke). Since Hobbits don’t really exist and the French probably shouldn’t, I believe the word “sans” does not really exist, either. I will now speak sans “sans.” Unless I’m referring to a bushman of southwestern Africa. Those “Sans” are real.

Bonus: turns out the word “foreign” is also of the mythical Old French/Middle English descent. I might have known…

And, apparently, writing without quotation marks is an impossibility for me.
